Flicking trought the pages of an old fashion magazines (Grazia – Italiy – september 2001) I’ve noticed this picture from the Louis Vuitton autumn-winter 2001-2002 ad campaign. Those polka dot tights have attracted my attention because similar items have been showed during the autumn-winter 2009-2010 fashion shows on the catwalks by many fashion designer, such as Balenciaga, Emanuel Ungaro and Ruffian.
Polka dot in black ton sur ton, silver on black or on colours. But this trend hs obained also a certain popularity to the new fashion icon all over the world: the fashion bloggers. Cherry Blossom has weared polka dot and little hearts tights (Tabio) in some pictures on her blog, showing a particular 80’s mood. My Daily Style shows little dots tights (Wolford) in a retrò-chic outfit and the italian L’arma(dio) del delitto shows other little dots (Zara).
So this fashion trend has come back. Do you like it?
